Emergency Preparedness

Emergency Preparedness

Prepared families strengthen communities to build lasting power.

The Brotherhood of Elders Network is building a community where every family is equipped, connected, and prepared to protect those they love before disaster strikes. We are committed to building a network of individuals and families who choose readiness over risk.

Emergency preparedness means more than stocking supplies; it’s about caring for people, ensuring no one is left behind, and providing peace of mind. With training and tools in place, panic gives way to calm, decisive action during emergencies. Prepared households create resilient neighborhoods. When we are ready individually, we are stronger collectively.

We are building a culture of readiness where Black families are equipped, connected, and accountable for protecting one another before, during, and after emergencies. When we prepare, we do more than protect ourselves. We honor our Babas. We safeguard our young Black men. We strengthen our families and communities.

The Emergency Preparedness Committee has developed a concise, field-ready 5-day earthquake plan. Quantities are per person unless noted. Check out and share our resource with your friends and family today.

The Emergency Preparedness Committee also offers workshops and ask interested Brothers to stay tuned for our next offering and please fill out our preparedness survey below.
