Who We Are

The Brotherhood of Elders Network (BOEN) is an intergenerational network of men of African descent dedicated to creating supportive environments where Black males can thrive. Our mission is rooted in advocacy, cultural preservation, and community wellness. We believe in fostering a community where Black boys and men are empowered to achieve their full potential.

Our Vision

We envision a world where Black boys and men are supported in their journey to adulthood, equipped with the tools and opportunities to thrive, and connected to their cultural heritage. We strive for a society where their contributions are valued, their voices are heard, and their potential is realized.

Our Mission

We empower Black males from infancy to adulthood by:

  • Advocating For Their Needs And Rights: Ensuring every Black male has the support and opportunities to succeed.
  • Leveraging Our Collective Resources: Utilizing our networks and resources to benefit Black boys and young men.
  • Maintaining Cultural Connections: Celebrating and preserving our rich African heritage to foster a strong sense of identity and pride.
  • Promoting Health and Wellness: Prioritizing our families and communities’ physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

We know that culture is our cure. We seek to emphasize African voices from the diaspora, cultural grounding, and the authentic experience of life for people of African descent.
